Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Marketing and Social Media, Rad-Ventures

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed for the Rad-Ventures podcast hosted by Richard from Radmin Assist, which explores the dreams, aspirations, and unexpected twists that have shaped the careers of its guests. During our conversation, I shared my journey from the early days of freelancing to becoming the founder of a marketing agency.

My freelancing journey began while I was still in university. It was a time when social media was just emerging as a powerful tool for businesses. Eventually, I established Lemon Squeezy Marketing in 2013 and worked for several years as a freelance digital marketer. This journey has been intertwined with major life events, including marriage, parenthood, and personal growth.

Social media has transformed dramatically since I started, shifting from simple posts to complex, multi-platform strategies. In the podcast, I shared how this evolution has shaped my work and the importance of staying ahead of trends to deliver value to clients. Tools like Trello and Airtable have become indispensable in planning and executing effective campaigns.

Richard and I finally met up in person for a coworking day at Purple Office (October 2024)

Part of our discussion focused on neurodiversity. Being diagnosed with autism as an adult gave me a different perspective on both my personal and professional life and made me heavily reflect on my career and life choices. For me, it reinforced the importance of self-awareness and understanding in creating a work environment that accommodates my needs.

The episode also touched on my aspirations and the strategies I use in digital marketing. My dream is to create a marketing environment where creativity and strategy blend seamlessly, making a positive impact for clients and their audiences.

It was great finally chatting with Richard. We’d had many conversations on Instagram before he launched the podcast and I knew we would get along well. We have since met in person for a co-working day!
